Solo for One

12” x 24” Acrylic on Canvas

Solo for One is a meditation on solitude, not emptiness, but intimacy. Like an unaccompanied jazz solo played under low light, this piece explores what it means to create in quiet: not for an audience, but for the self.

The vertical format echoes the body of a musician who is upright, focused, still. Deep blue tones drift and layer like sustained notes, while subtle accents of red, yellow, and gold flicker like moments of vulnerability or grace. Each stroke moves with breath, not rhythm, a visual improvisation shaped by silence, restraint, and inner resonance.

This is not a performance. It’s a private offering of one voice, one tone, played softly into the unknown.
